Joker 1600 – Not Just Another HMI

The Joker 1600 is the newest of the Joker generation of daylight fixtures.  At 1600W, the Joker 1600 is comparable to over 6000W of quartz fixture output and produces twice as much, or one full stop more light, as our Joker 800.

The Joker 1600 is available in three variations:

The Joker 1600 Bug-Lite has no optics.  It's bare-bulb output is optimal for use in lightbanks and lanterns, creating perfectly even distribution within such accessories, eliminating hot spots and maximizing output.  It can even be used pointing straight down.

The Joker 1600 Beamer includes an 8” specular reflector and a set of 4 traditional PAR 64 lenses – Medium, Wide, Super-Wide and a Frosted Fresnel.  These lenses provide varying light patterns from 5 to 45 degrees and a maximum output due to the reflector finish.
 
The Joker 1600 ZOOM Beamer is revolutionary.  This lensless, focusable Beamer gives 15 to 65 degrees of even light output.  With its physical similarities to a faceted umbrella, the soft finish beautifully distributes light across your subject.  The ZOOM Beamer reflector was specifically engineered around the radiant image of our new 1600W lamp, providing for the best and most efficient performance possible.

The Electronic Power Supply is not only quiet, but smaller than comparable ballasts (even those of less wattage).  It’s capable of running on a 15 amp / 120 volt circuit, is dimmable, and has selectable frequency options for extreme high speed shooting.
 
The Joker 1600 comes in several kit options, all within one case, for the ultimate portable, big gun lighting kit.
 

HEAD:
Lamp: 1600 Watt CSR/SE daylight single ended discharge, 5600 Kelvin, 700 hours maximum life.
Housing: Aluminum casting, high temperature black
Socket: G22, highly insulated for hot retsrike
Safety Glass Beaker: Borosilicate UV filter tempered
Accessory Size: Chimera Bug Ring

BALLAST:
Electronic Powe Supply: square wave, flicker free; AC input: 90-265V; 50 or 60Hz.  Fan cooled; 50% dimmable; Output Frequency selector
Connectors: Veam quarter-turn quick locking.
Extension Cable: 25 foot shielded; nine feet attached to the head

BEAMER:
Housing: Machined from aluminum billet with replaceable ears; High temperature black
Reflector: 8" diameter specular parabolic, aluminum 90% reflectance electrolytically coated.
Accessory Size:  9” Scrims; 9180 Chimera Circular Speedring; Video Pro Medium

ZOOM BEAMER:
Housing: Combination of machined aluminum billet with spun aluminum parts; replaceable ears; high temperature black
Reflector: Faceted reflector of engineered spline shape; aluminum

CONSTRUCTION:
Yoke: Steel; black high temperature finish. Large handle and large disc brake area for use with Lightbanks, SpeedRings, Louvers and Lanterns.
